Sales Engineer – Automation Systems Integration

Key Responsibilities

• Business Development
• Identify and develop new business opportunities in automation projects (PLC, SCADA, DCS, instrumentation, electrical panels, etc.).
• Map potential clients in key sectors (pharma, food & beverage, packaging, water treatment, infrastructure, oil & gas).
• Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
• Client Engagement
• Meet plant heads, project managers, procurement teams, and consultants to present company capabilities.
• Understand client pain points and propose tailored automation solutions.
• Negotiate commercial and technical terms to close deals.
• Collaboration
• Work closely with engineering team to prepare proposals, BOQs, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with OEMs (Siemens, Schneider, ABB, Rockwell, etc.) for joint sales pitches, technical clarifications, and pricing support.
• Sales Process
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and presentations.
• Follow up on tenders and bids with government and private clients.
• Ensure timely payment collection and credit management.
• Market Intelligence
• Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and new projects in the Hyderabad region.
• Provide regular feedback to management to refine go-to-market strategy.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering (preferred).
• 3–8 years of experience in industrial automation sales / business development / system integration services.
• Strong understanding of PLC, SCADA, drives, instrumentation, and industrial networking.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets in project-driven businesses.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,995.68 - ₹15,164.53 per year
