Role & responsibilities

Sales Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with organizational goals to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of regional and global sales managers to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Build and maintain a results-oriented, collaborative, and high-performance sales culture.

Business Development:

  • Identify new market opportunities and define strategies to penetrate untapped regions or sectors within the telecommunications industry.
  • Establish relationships with C-suite executives, key stakeholders, and strategic partners to advance sales opportunities.
  • Drive high-value, complex deals involving telecommunication software solutions.

Market Analysis and Strategic Planning:

  • Conduct market research and analyze competitive trends to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with product and marketing teams to ensure alignment between market needs and product offerings.
  • Provide thought leadership on sales approaches and market positioning to maintain a competitive edge.

Sales Operations and Forecasting:

  • Oversee accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting to the executive leadership team.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, ensuring timely course corrections and optimization of resources.
  • Drive operational excellence through process improvements, CRM adoption, and streamlined sales workflows.

Customer Success and Retention:

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering solutions that meet client needs and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, addressing concerns and advocating for their business needs.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Exceptional track record of building relationships with stakeholders or customers that has resulted in high customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent leadership skills, negotiation skills, with good written and oral skills including presentation, group discussions etc.
  • Customer-centric executive leader with demonstrated experience across Telecommunications and Enterprise Software industries. Led multiple initiatives in sales, technical, business and leadership roles to drive customer success in emerging and developed markets.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience with leading, negotiating and closing multi-year transactions and agreements with young and mature telecom operators.
  • Bachelors degree with a major in business/marketing or Telecom.
  • Any PG qualification or an additional degree in the Telecom domain will be an advantage with 10-11 years of relevant experience.
  • Customer orientation: Strong skills for customer interaction, either face to face or through online conversations
  • Positive, can-do attitude, with high levels of self-motivation and self-governance.
  • Strong desire to influence a sustainable, high performance programming culture.
  • Excellent communication skills and creativity in problem-solving.
  • Willing to travel within and outside the country.
  • Good research skills and quest for learning
