Job Description

Were seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) who understands the tech consulting/services landscape and can translate technical capabilities into clear business outcomes. You will prospect, qualify, and book meetings with target accounts, creating a strong pipeline for our Account Executive(s) and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Outbound Prospecting & Research
  • Build and manage target lists by ICP (industry, size, tech stack, buying signals).
  • Conduct multi-channel outreach (email, LinkedIn, phone) with tailored messaging for IT and business stakeholders (CIO, CTO, VP Eng, Ops, Product).
  • Qualification & Discovery
  • Qualify opportunities using BANT/MEDDIC-style frameworks, surface pain, timeline, budget, and decision process.
  • Run discovery-light to validate fit for services like custom dev, app modernization, integrations, data/BI, and cloud.
  • Meeting Setting & Handoffs
  • Book qualified meetings/demos and deliver tight handoffs to AE/Leadership with clear call notes and context.
  • Content-Enabled Selling
  • Personalize outreach using relevant case studies, architectures, and tech blogs (e.g., .NET modernization, API integration, Azure migrations).
  • Partner with Marketing to suggest topics from the field; provide feedback on messaging.
  • CRM & Process Excellence
  • Maintain accurate, timely CRM hygiene (contacts, activities, stages).
  • Track activity, conversion rates, and pipeline sourced; iterate sequences based on data.
  • Market Intelligence
  • Monitor competitor offerings, buyer triggers (hiring bursts, tech-stack changes), and industry shifts; share insights with team.
  • Events & Campaigns
  • Support webinars, conferences, and ABM campaigns; follow up with attendees and MQLs.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of SDR/BDR experience in IT services, software development, or technology consulting.
  • Comfort discussing SDLC, Agile, cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP), APIs/integrations, and common stacks (e.g., .NET Core, SQL Server, JavaScript frameworks)you dont need to code, but you can hold a technical conversation.
  • Proven track record hitting activity and SQL targets in a B2B environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; excellent objection handling and discovery skills.
  • Experience with CRM (Apollo, HubSpot or Salesforce) and sales engagement tools (Outreach, Apollo, or HubSpot Sequences).
  • Skilled with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and email sequencing; data tools (ZoomInfo, Apollo, Clay, Lusha) a plus.

Preferred

  • Background selling custom software projects, app modernization, data/BI, integrations, or managed services.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, AI, .NET) is a plus for Profusion Systems.
  • Experience with account-based prospecting and tiered outreach.

Comfortable building targeted lists and crafting messaging by industry use case (e.g., manufacturing, healthcare, food and beverages).
