Job Description

Key Responsibility Areas

1. Sales Target Achievement

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets (volume & value)
  • Drive primary and secondary sales growth
  • Increase average order value and billing efficiency

2. New Business Development

  • Identify and onboard new customers, distributors, or institutional clients
  • Develop new markets, territories, and channels
  • Conduct market mapping and competitor analysis

3. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with key customers and trade partners
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and service issues
  • Improve customer retention and satisfaction

4. Channel & Distributor Management

  • Manage distributors, dealers, or channel partners effectively
  • Ensure proper stock availability and visibility
  • Monitor distributor performance and credit limits

5. Pricing, Negotiation & Commercials

  • Negotiate pricing, margins, and commercial terms within approval limits
  • Ensure profitability while closing deals
  • Coordinate with finance for credit approvals and collections

6. Collections & Receivables Management

  • Ensure timely collections as per credit policy
  • Reduce overdue and outstanding amounts
  • Coordinate with finance for reconciliation

7. Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Track competitor activity, pricing, schemes, and market trends
  • Submit daily/weekly sales and MIS reports
  • Provide actionable market insights to management

8. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with supply chain, operations, and accounts for order fulfilment
  • Ensure smooth dispatch, delivery, and billing
  • Support marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns

9. Compliance & Process Adherence

  • Follow company SOPs, sales processes, and compliance norms
  • Maintain proper documentation and approvals
  • Adhere to ethical sales practices
