Position Title: Assistant Manager Sales (CIN Proprietary Business)

Reports To: Deputy Manager – Sales

Location: Bidadi, Karnataka

1. Position Summary

The Assistant Manager – Sales is responsible for developing and maintaining the automotive catalyst business, primarily with motorcycle OEMs and exhaust system suppliers. The role involves managing ongoing programs, supporting new business development, and ensuring effective coordination between internal and external stakeholders to achieve business and customer objectives.

2. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEMs and Tier-I exhaust system suppliers.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Purchasing teams to meet customer expectations.
  • Support new business initiatives and manage ongoing customer programs.
  • Review customer blueprints, drawings, and specifications to support technical and commercial proposals.
  • Provide technical support related to catalyst performance, quality, and manufacturability.
  • Liaise with internal departments (Sales, R&D, Quality, Production) to ensure smooth coordination of activities.
  • Manage pricing, quotations, and cost estimation activities in coordination with the management.
  • Conduct customer satisfaction surveys and drive actions for improvement.
  • Represent the company in OEM and Tier-I supplier meetings as required.
  • Coordinate with the parent company for global business activities and technical support.
  • Handle all pre-production activities including quotation, pricing, and quality-related items.
  • Prepare and deliver technical and commercial presentations to customers.
  • Conduct market analysis and prepare management reports on key findings.

4. Qualifications

Education: Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

5. Experience

  • 8 to 12 years of experience in Sales, preferably in the Automobile / Auto Component industry.
  • Exposure to OEM and Tier-I supplier management preferred.
