Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect new business opportunities through market research, networking, cold calling, and lead generation in targeted industrial sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, key accounts, and stakeholders to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and site visits to showcase machinery features, benefits, and applications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to assess client requirements, customize solutions, and prepare proposals or bids.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close deals while achieving sales targets and quotas.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies, including digital campaigns, trade shows, brochures, and promotional materials to increase brand visibility.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales forecasts, strategies, and product improvements.
  • Provide pre- and post-sales support, including coordinating installation, training, and troubleshooting in coordination with service teams.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for management review.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and promote products.
  • Monitor sales pipelines using CRM tools and ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.

Preferred candidate profile

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (preferred; engineering background advantageous for technical understanding).
  • Certifications in sales techniques, CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), or industry-specific training (e.g., heavy equipment or automation) are a plus.

Experience

  • 02 years of experience in B2B sales and marketing, preferably in industrial machinery, heavy equipment, manufacturing, or related sectors.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in technical or capital equipment sales.
  • Experience with long sales cycles, key account management, and dealing with procurement processes in industrial environments.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of industrial machinery (e.g., CNC machines, conveyors, pumps, compressors, automation systems) and their applications.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint for presentations), and digital marketing tools.
  • Understanding of technical specifications, ROI calculations, and solution-based selling.

Soft Skills and Personal Attributes

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to convey complex technical information clearly.
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal abilities for networking with engineers, procurement managers, and executives.
  • Analytical mindset for market research, data interpretation, and strategic planning.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and resilient in handling rejections and competitive markets.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (50% or more) for client visits, demos, and trade shows.
  • Customer-focused with a problem-solving approach to tailor solutions.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in digital marketing, lead generation tools, or after-sales support.
  • Familiarity with industry trends like Industry 4.0, IoT integration, or sustainable machinery.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
