Tool Room Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise tool room operations, including organizing workflows, managing inventory, and scheduling maintenance for tools and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of tools, components, and finished products to confirm compliance with company and industry quality standards.
• Oversee, mentor, and train tool room staff; ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain training documentation.
• Record inspection results, document deviations from specifications, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and production teams to resolve quality-related issues and support continuous improvement.
• Maintain detailed records for inventory management, inspection activities, and quality control processes.
• Develop, update, and enforce quality assurance policies and procedures within the tool room environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of tool room operations, inventory management, and mechanical tooling.
• Proficiency in quality inspection techniques, blueprint reading, and use of measuring instruments such as calipers and gauges
• Experience in staff supervision, process optimization, and maintaining safety standards.
• Strong documentation, reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and leadership skills, with dedication to continuous improvement and training.
