Safety Sr. Executive (PSM)

Qualification:

BE /B. Tech (Chemical Engg) and Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS/PDIS)

Process Safety (60%):-

• Responsible for implementation & auditing of PSM system at site.
• Person should have detailed knowledge of Hazop, PSSR, JSA and HIRA & to perform these PHA techniques independently on software like PHA-pro by SPHERA.
• Person should have knowledge of new products and their reaction hazards assessment.
• Person should be able to define the requirements of DCS, TSU,RC test requirements for any new products or existing product,
• Person should have hands on experience on Process safety in R&D, Kilo lab, Pilot plant & commercial manufacturing for new process.
• Responsible for data interpretation of various reaction hazards & powder safety tests (RC1, ARC, DSC, Dewar calorimetry, etc.)
• Responsible for technical verification reactor cooling capacity, vent size calculations.
• Person should have knowledge of DHA and PSI like Dust Explosion, MIE, Burning test, MIT, LIT, Powder Resistivity, Shock-sensitivity test.
• Operational & Powder Safety Assessments (Combustibility, Static electricity Hazards, Dust Explosion, Shock-Sensitivity, Flammability Hazards etc).
• Basic knowledge of design and P&ID reading,
• Person should have details knowledge of Static electricity, Flammability hazards, Interstation, Risk reduction factors, safe guards, interlocks, SIL study, LOPA study.
• Persons should be well versed for Facility siting study, layout reading, Firefighting measure, scrubber designs, etc

Occupational and work place safety (40%):

• Expert in PTW system/ LOTOTO & its legal requirements as per GFR & IS17893.
• Basic knowledge of DCS, PLC, WCM, Six Sigma, TPM, cGMP & 5S.
• Knowledge of Incident reporting, investigation, near miss, unsafe act and conditions.
• Person must have documentation practice of MIS, LTIR, Incident DATA, Monthly presentation ,mock drills reports and plan, IMS audit documents.
• Person must have knowledge and experience in PPE, trainings on safety, Induction trainings, Tool box talks.
• Persons must have brief knowledge of continuous & batch manufacturing processes in chemical industry with DCS & PLC operations.
• Persons must have brief knowledge of solvents, critical chemicals like Bromine, Chlorine, Ammonia, Pyrophoric chemicals and catalyst and PESO related norms.
• Detailed knowledge of Factories Act, GFR, and their relevant forms and minimum factory requirement. Knowledge of PESO, MSIHC, BOCW, NDPS act etc.
• Person should have well knowledge of Project safety and contractor management.
• Person should have good communication skills, Computer and safety background.
