Location: Chennai Annaur ,BHEL
Salary Range: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month
Experience: 4–5 years (relevant safety experience preferred)
Qualification: Technical Graduation (Engineering/Diploma) or equivalent experience

Job Description:

The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment across all plant operations at BHEL, ChennaiTamil nadu. The candidate will monitor safety standards, implement safety programs, and ensure compliance with statutory and organizational safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor company safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with factory and labor safety laws.
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Conduct safety training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
• Maintain and update safety documentation, reports, and records.
• Liaise with local authorities and management on safety matters.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and practices.
• Good communication and training skills.
• Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Familiar with PPE use, fire safety, and emergency response procedures.
• Proficient in MS Office and safety documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical Degree/Diploma (Electrical, Electronics, or equivalent).
• Certification in Industrial Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or Diploma in Industrial Safety) will be an advantage.
