Safety Officer

As a Senior Safety Officer at Adani New Industries Limited in Mundra, Gujarat, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with safety standards and promoting a culture of safety, particularly in heavy lifting operations within the construction industry. Key Responsibilities: - Implement and oversee safety policies, procedures, and programs to align with company and statutory requirements. - Conduct risk assessments to ensure safe lifting practices are followed during heavy equipment operations. - Provide supervision and guidance to site teams on safety protocols throughout construction and manufacturing activities. - Investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective measures. - Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to workers and contractors to enhance safety awareness. - Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory safety standards at all times. - Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to integrate safety into every project phase. - Maintain accurate safety documentation and records as per audit standards. Qualifications Required: - Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety or equivalent. - 5-8 years of experience in construction safety, with a focus on large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects. - Demonstrated expertise in managing safety for heavy lifting operations. - Profound understanding of safety regulations, risk management, and incident investigation. - Strong communication and leadership abilities. - Capacity to work autonomously and cooperatively in a dynamic environment. As an additional detail, preferred attributes for this role include certification in rigging/lifting safety, familiarity with ISO standards and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001, as well as experience in renewable energy or manufacturing sectors.,
