Safety Officer

Position: Safety Officer

Department: EHS / Safety

Industry: Manufacturing / Industrial / Infrastructure

Working Hours: 8 Hours / Shift

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor EHS policies as per statutory and company guidelines
• Ensure compliance with Factories Act, OSHA, ISO 45001 and local safety regulations
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments at site/plant
• Identify hazards and recommend corrective & preventive actions
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety training, mock drills, and inductions
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and prepare incident reports
• Maintain safety records, permits, MSDS, and statutory documentation
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices across departments
• Coordinate with government authorities during inspections
• Support management in achieving zero accident targets

Qualification

• Diploma / Degree in Safety
• B.Sc Safety / BE Safety preferred

Experience

• 3–5+ years experience in Industrial / Manufacturing / Infrastructure projects
• Experience in Gandhidham / Kutch region will be an added advantage

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of industrial safety norms & legal compliance
• Good communication & reporting skills
• Ability to conduct training & safety awareness programs
• Proactive, disciplined, and detail-oriented

Salary

• ₹40,000 – ₹50,000 per month (Based on experience & interview)
