Job Description for the role of Safety Officer / HSE Officer:
Job Title: Safety Officer / HSE Officer
Department: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Location: [Insert Location]
Reports To: HSE Manager / Site Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits
- Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Monitor and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Conduct safety induction, toolbox talks, and training for employees
- Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near misses
- Maintain safety records and documentation as per company standards
- Support the implementation of waste management, fire safety, and emergency response plans
- Liaise with regulatory bodies during inspections and audits
- Promote a culture of safety awareness across the organization
Requirements:
- Diploma / Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
- Certification in NEBOSH / IOSH / Fire & Safety (preferred)
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations (local and national)
- Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
