Safety Officer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for ensuring the implementation and maintenance of occupational health, safety, and environmental standards in compliance with legal regulations and company policies within the food manufacturing facility at Tulsi Speciality Food Pvt. Ltd. As a Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in monitoring safety compliance, risk management, training, incident management, coordination, and reporting. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) legislation, food safety standards, and company policies. - Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify unsafe acts and conditions in production areas, utilities, warehouses, and offices. - Assist in developing and implementing safety programs, procedures, and policies specific to food manufacturing operations. - Identify, assess, and mitigate workplace hazards, including chemical, mechanical, and biological risks. - Participate in risk assessments for new equipment, processes, or facility changes. - Conduct safety induction and refresher training for employees, contractors, and visitors. - Lead or assist in the investigation of accidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions. - Liaise with regulatory agencies, auditors, and external inspectors during compliance visits. - Prepare and submit monthly HSE performance reports to management. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. - Certification in Occupational Safety and Health. - Certification in safety management preferred (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor). - Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or food processing industry. - Knowledge of local labor laws, safety regulations, and food industry standards. - Proficiency in risk assessment, accident investigation, and safety training. Additional Details: The company operates on a full-time employment basis with a salary range of 25K to 40K gross. The work location is at Tulsi Speciality Food Pvt. Ltd in 12-hour shifts (day/night).
