Construction Safety Officer/ HSE Executive

Client: A Foreign MNC – Japanese Construction Company
Location: Bechraji / Vithalapur, Dist. Ahmedabad, Gujarat (Approx. 77 km from Ahmedabad)

Experience: 4 to 8 Years
Package: Up to ₹ 7 LPA

Education: B.Sc. / B.E. with Diploma in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

Key Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of job-associated hazards and risks in the construction industry.
• Should be able to implement/advice corrective measures associated with each hazard.
• Experience in conducting Tool Box Trainings, Induction and Safety Trainings.
• Knows how to minimize the risk to an acceptable level.
• Co-ordinate daily work activity planning with site team and discuss queries related to safety.
• Identify unsafe actions and unsafe conditions. Rectify those actions/conditions through regular line of authority.
• Should be able to work in any given situation and handle stressful situations calmly and effectively while being tolerant and respectful to fellow work colleagues.
• Sound knowledge of HSE compliance and standards related to electrical appliances, electric power tools, equipment and heavy machineries, etc.
• Good knowledge in high-risk work execution (hot work, height work, excavation work, confined space work, etc.)
• Able to implement and monitor permit-to-work system.
• Good knowledge of lifting operations, cranes, and lifting tackles.
• Should have knowledge of legal requirements related to construction activity.
• Able to conduct site safety inspections and monitor compliance of recommended actions.
• Manage day-to-day work-related documentation.
• Knowledge of accident/incident reporting and investigation.
• Knowledge of first aid.
• Monitor jobs are carried out in accordance with safe work method statement/SOP.
• Monitoring compliance level and effectiveness of PPE.
• Maintaining registers and reports related to HSE.
• Knowledge on 5S and safety signage system.
• Participate in and conduct safety awareness programs, safety committee meetings, and management safety patrols.
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures and fire protection.
