Safety Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Safety Officer for our upcoming projects in Bhavani, Erode. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field, along with certifications in Fire and Safety (OHSE), and have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in industrial safety. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the textile or manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure full compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to proactively identify hazards.
• Implement and monitor effective safety protocols and preventive measures to reduce workplace risks.
• Organize and lead fire drills, safety awareness programs, and employee training sessions.
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of all safety-related activities in compliance with statutory norms.
• Work closely with all departments to cultivate a strong and consistent safety-first culture.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field (regular course).
• Certification in Fire & Safety / OHSE (Occupational Health, Safety & Environment).
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in safety management, preferably in the textile or manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards, emergency response, and risk mitigation techniques.
• Excellent communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Practical experience managing safety in large-scale industrial or high-risk environments.
• Familiarity with national and international HSE regulations and best practices.
• Experience in safety audits, documentation, and compliance management.
