Youll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.You'll play a key role in ensuring the safety of our rolling stock projects, helping us deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet the highest standards. Day-to-day, youll work closely with teams across the business (design, industrial, sourcing, validation, etc.), support stakeholders in defining safety measures, and much more.Youll specifically take care of defining and transferring safety requirements to control railway safety risks and following them through to closure, but also coordinate safety contributors from different entities and manage safety resources to meet project commitments.Well look to you for:
Leading railway safety initiatives for the Rolling Stock business
Defining and transferring safety requirements to manage railway safety risks (e.g., Safety Related Item List/Hazard Log)
Supporting stakeholders in defining and documenting safety actions and evidence
Acting as the point of contact for safety matters on projects/programs
Consolidating safety contributions from co-partners and external suppliers
Supporting PrQSM in performing safety reviews and issuing safety authorizations
Taking on the role of Safety Leader (K1 8D) as required
Managing safety resources to meet quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) commitments
Coordinating safety contributors across entities and suppliers

Degree in engineering or a relevant technical field
9 + years of experience or understanding of railway safety principles and processes
Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in the railway industry
Familiarity with safety risk management tools and methodologies
A Safety Management certification or equivalent is a plus
Strong communication and coordination skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
