Safety Executive

Role & responsibilities

1. Implementation of Safety Programs:

Assist in the implementation of site safety procedures, SOPs, and emergency

response plans.

Promote and support behavioural-based safety (BBS) and human performance (HP)

initiatives.

2. Inspection and Monitoring:

Conduct regular safety inspections and audits in process areas, utilities, storage, and

contractor work areas.

Monitor work permits (PTW), hot work, confined space, working at height, and

energy isolation activities.

3. Incident Reporting & Investigation:

Report and investigate near-misses, unsafe acts/conditions, and incidents.

Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.

4. Training & Awareness:

Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions for employees and

contract workers.

Organize safety training programs and drills (fire, evacuation, etc.).

5. Compliance & Documentation:

Assist to Maintain statutory records as per Factories Act, PESO, GPCB, and other

regulatory bodies.

Assist in preparation and submission of reports to authorities.

6. Contractor Safety Management:

Ensure safety standards are followed by contractors.

Participate in daily coordination meetings to address safety aspects.

7. Safety Culture & Improvement:

Encourage and drive safety improvement ideas through employee engagement.

Support implementation of 5S, housekeeping audits, and risk assessments (JSA,

HIRA).

Preferred candidate profile

knowledge of safety and environmental laws and regulations in India

Familiarity with hazard identification techniques such as PSM, HAZOP, HIRA, and JSA.

Proficiency in safety tools and PPE management.

Analytical and problem-solving skills for incident investigations.

Hnadling work permit system.

Proactive and leading attitude towards SHE improvement initiatives.
