Robotics Engineer

As a Lead Robotics Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for spearheading our robotics and automation projects, overseeing the development of cutting-edge robotic systems from inception to implementation. Your role will involve leading diverse teams and working closely with our EMS and manufacturing partners worldwide. Your primary focus will be on robotics design, embedded systems, ROS, machine vision, and new product introduction (NPI), with a particular emphasis on effective collaboration with our EMS partners. Your key responsibilities will include designing and integrating collaborative robots, AMRs, and industrial robotic arms for automation purposes. You will be tasked with developing control systems, motion planning, and real-time path planning utilizing ROS/ROS2. Additionally, you will be involved in firmware development using embedded C/C++ on STM32/PIC platforms and integrating machine vision systems for defect detection and automation using OpenCV/TensorFlow. You will also be accountable for leading the NPI process and managing the product lifecycle from EVT to MP, ensuring compliance with DFM/DFA/DFT standards. Your role will entail overseeing EMS partners for sourcing, BOM validation, and quality assurance checks, as well as managing manufacturing test setup, jig design, and automation for EOL testing. Furthermore, you will be required to lead and mentor a diverse engineering team, employing agile methodologies to foster collaboration and innovation. Collaboration with international EMS vendors, particularly in regions such as China, Taiwan, and Eastern Europe, will also be a key aspect of your role.,
