Robotics Engineer

As a Robotics Engineer (Software, Electronics & Mechatronics) at our company, you will collaborate within teams of robotics developers, computer scientists, and engineers to solve real-world problems faced by robots operating in diverse, uncontrolled, and dynamic environments. With a minimum of 3 years of industry experience, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and constructing robots that are not only efficient and productive but also safe to operate and cost-effective to maintain. Your key responsibilities will include: Software Engineering: - Designing and evaluating prototypes - Developing software systems for Vehicle Interface Controls (such as Steer, AC, Brake, Shift), driver implementation, and robot control - Implementing Drive by Wire technology - Reviewing and approving trade studies related to motors, actuators, feedback systems, and design calculations - Investigating mechanical and electronic failures or unexpected control system issues - Providing technical support for robotic systems - Documenting robotic application development, maintenance, or modifications - Conducting research on the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of robotic mechanisms, components, and systems Middleware Engineering: - Writing Python and C/C++ applications - Implementing services and functions in ROS1 / ROS2 framework Mechatronics Engineering: - Designing prototypes - Utilizing SolidWorks and equivalent Mechanical Design Tools for product knowledge In addition to practical experience, you are expected to possess the following academic qualifications: - Degree in an Engineering field - A degree in Robotics, Computer Science/Engineering, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous - Average CGPA above 7 Your skill set should include proficiency in the following programming skills: - Strong theoretical understanding of self-driving algorithms and sensors - Competency in C and C++ programming - Exposure to Embedded Programming - Python programming skills are a plus - Experience in application development for any microcontroller - Familiarity with ROS1 / ROS2 - Proficiency in communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, and UART - Experience with CAN/MODBUS/ETHERCAT communication protocols is highly desirable - Exposure to implementing Motor Control drivers, Digital Position Controllers, and PID - Familiarity with the Linux environment, especially Ubuntu This is a full-time employee position based at our office in Infopark, Kochi, Kerala.
