Job Summary:

Robotics Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement

    robotic automation systems

    for automotive assembly lines or vehicle subsystems.
  • Develop

    motion planning, control algorithms

    , and

    path optimization

    for robotic manipulators and mobile robots.
  • Integrate and calibrate

    robot arms (e.g., KUKA, FANUC, ABB)

    with sensors, vision systems, and actuators.
  • Work on

    robot-based inspection

    , welding, painting, pick-and-place, or material handling applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software) for system integration.
  • Program and debug

    robot controllers

    , PLCs, and

    real-time embedded systems

    .
  • Perform

    system modeling, simulation, and testing

    using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, ROS, or Gazebo.
  • Ensure

    compliance with safety standards

    (ISO 10218, ANSI/RIA R15.06) and industrial best practices.
  • Support

    installation, commissioning, and maintenance

    of robotic systems in production environments.
  • Document designs, validation reports, and technical specifications for knowledge transfer and compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in

    robot programming

    (e.g., RAPID, KRL, PDL2, or other OEM-specific languages).
  • Strong knowledge of

    robot kinematics, dynamics, control systems

    , and

    path planning

    .
  • Hands-on experience with

    industrial robots

    (e.g., ABB, KUKA, FANUC, Yaskawa).
  • Familiarity with

    machine vision systems

    ,

    LiDAR, IMU

    , or

    3D sensors

    for autonomous or inspection-based robotics.
  • Experience with

    PLC integration

    and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, ProfiNet).
  • Proficient in

    C/C++, Python, MATLAB/Simulink

    , and/or

    ROS (Robot Operating System)

    .

Preferred / Bonus Skills:

  • Experience in

    Autonomous Vehicles (ADAS, perception, SLAM, path planning)

    .
  • Exposure to

    AI/ML algorithms for robotics

    or

    computer vision

    (OpenCV, TensorFlow).
  • Knowledge of

    digital twin

    or

    robot simulation platforms

    (Gazebo, V-REP, Webots, RoboDK).
  • Familiarity with

    AGVs, AMRs

    , or

    collaborative robots (cobots)

    .
  • Understanding of

    functional safety (ISO 26262)

    and

    industrial safety standards

    .
  • Experience working in

    high-volume automotive manufacturing environments
