What would you do? Risk Engineering provides guidance on risk mitigation for multiple disciplines and occupancies. The objective is to enable global property underwriters to make more informed underwriting decisions.The team performs risk assessments of various commercial and industrial occupancies from a property insurance loss prevention perspective in support of global Account Engineers and Underwriters.The types of risk include a large variety of occupancies like commercial and residential real estate, hospitals, hotels, IT parks, shopping and other service-oriented occupancies as well as all industrial manufacturing occupancies.Insurance is a legal agreement between two parties the insurer and the insured, also known as insurance coverage or insurance policy. The insurer provides financial coverage for the losses of the insured that s/he may bear under certain circumstancesYou will be responsible for developing and delivering business solutions that support the claims process across its lifecycle, including first notice of loss, claims investigation, payment administration or adjudication, provider reimbursement (health care), subrogation and recovery.

What are we looking for? Engineering graduate with strong engineering foundation in any of the core Mechanical, Fire & Safety, Electrical and Civil engineering disciplines.2-6 years of experience across industries such as manufacturing, engineering consulting, property insurance would be preferred.Should be able to understand basic engineering equipment terminology, technical specifications etc.Knowledge of global safety guidelines including but not limited to NFPA or FM Global would be preferred.Prior experience in data migration/analysis and MIS will be preferred.Certifications on LIII/AIII/FIII, CFPS, ARM, AINS, CII would be an add on.Excellent authoring skills.Ability to solve complex business problems and deliver client delight.Strong analytical and writing skills to build viewpoints on industry trends.Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.Good understanding of basic MS tools.Cross-cultural competence with an ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Roles and Responsibilities: Perform risk assessments of various Commercial occupancies from a Property Insurance Loss Prevention perspective in support of Global Account Engineers and Underwriters.

The risk assessments will be completed by conducting an analysis of submitted values, as well as various construction, protection and occupancy features which would be determined through the receipt of loss prevention survey reports from a variety of sources.

Analyze construction, protection and occupancy features to make loss estimates by location.Interpret findings and translate information into risk quality ratings according to insurance industry standards and global safety guidelines.

The candidate must be able to interpret these reports and be able to translate the information into risk quality ratings and fire/Nat Cat loss estimates following company guidelines and utilizing available tools and utilities.
