We're Hiring: RF Systems Engineer

Gurgaon | Full-Time | Core Team

LAT Aerospace | STOL Aircraft


At LAT Aerospace, we’re building India’s first clean-sheet Short Take-off and Landing (STOL) aircraft - designed to unlock access to hundreds of underutilised airstrips and redefine regional air mobility.


RF Systems Engineer


What you’ll do

  • Architect and develop software-defined radio (SDR) systems for telemetry, command, and data links.
  • Design, simulate, and test antennas (VHF/UHF, L/S/C-band) for airborne and ground communication systems.
  • Develop RF front-ends, filters, and matching networks with high linearity and low noise.
  • Integrate SDRs with onboard avionics, networking, and control systems.
  • Conduct RF link budgeting, spectrum analysis, and interference mitigation.
  • Prototype and validate communication subsystems in lab and flight environments.
  • Perform impedance measurements, S-parameter testing, and radiation pattern characterisation.
  • Collaborate with avionics, software, and systems teams to ensure robust end-to-end communication performance.


What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in RF or SDR system design for aerospace, defence, or telecom.
  • Strong grasp of RF fundamentals - impedance matching, modulation, filters, and antennas.
  • Hands-on experience with SDR frameworks (GNU Radio, Ettus USRP, LimeSDR, or similar).
  • Proficiency with simulation and test tools (MATLAB, HFSS, CST, Keysight ADS, VNA, spectrum analyser).
  • Familiarity with embedded or FPGA-based DSP pipelines for real-time RF processing.
  • Experience with antenna prototyping, tuning, and field testing.
  • Understanding of link margin analysis, EMI/EMC design, and RF shielding.
  • Bonus: Experience with mesh or MIMO systems, phased arrays, or SATCOM links.
