Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Head to lead the physical expansion and operational excellence of our retail network across South India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multi-location retail strategy, store launch execution, and performance monitoring, preferably within customer-centric and high-value sectors such as jewelry, finance, or gold-related industries.

Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning & Market Development

• Develop and execute a robust retail expansion strategy focused on Tier 1, 2, and 3 cities.
• Conduct in-depth market research to evaluate location potential, customer demographics, and competitive presence.
• Prioritize expansion markets using ROI models and feasibility studies.

Store Launch & Operations

• Oversee end-to-end site selection, rent negotiations, and legal clearances.
• Coordinate with vendors for interiors, branding, security systems, and IT infrastructure.
• Ensure full regulatory compliance including gold licensing, KYC norms, and local tax laws.

Performance Monitoring & ROI Management

• Track key store performance metrics such as footfall, sales conversion, and gold acquisition.
• Monitor capex and opex budgets; ensure timely break-even for each outlet.
• Present periodic performance dashboards and expansion updates to leadership.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Build and manage a team of expansion managers and field operations staff.
• Work cross-functionally with legal, HR, finance, IT, and marketing for seamless store rollouts.
• Handle escalations related to community, legal, or regulatory matters.

Customer Assurance & Brand Consistency

• Ensure each outlet projects trust, safety, and gold purity assurance through strong visual and operational branding.
• Maintain uniform customer experience across all retail locations.

Optional (Added Advantage)

• Integrate offline retail expansion with digital outreach and marketing.
• Utilize analytics and AI-based tools to forecast market demand and guide expansion strategy.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in retail expansion or operations, preferably in gold, jewelry, or high-value FMCG sectors.
• Proven track record in multi-state retail rollouts and ROI-focused strategies.
• Strong negotiation, leadership, and team-building skills.
• Fluent in English and Kannada (Telugu and Malayalam will be an advantage).
• Willingness to travel extensively as part of the role.
