Key responsibilities
- Staff management: Supervise, train, and motivate a team of servers, cooks, and hosts to ensure high-quality service and adherence to brand standards.
- Operational oversight: Monitor daily operations, including setup and breakdown, to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Customer service: Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Compliance: Ensure all staff follow established guidelines for food safety, hygiene, and sanitation.
- Scheduling: Assist with creating work schedules and managing staff hours and labor costs.
- Inventory and supplies: Monitor food and supply levels, place orders, and minimize waste.
- Support: Assist with front-of-house duties like taking orders or seating customers during busy periods.
- Reporting: Prepare daily reports on service performance and operational issues for management.
Required skills and qualifications
- Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is often required, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including nights and weekends, is often needed.
