Restaurant Captain

Job Summary:

The Restaurant Captain plays a key role in the dining experience by supervising the service team, ensuring smooth daily operations, and delivering exceptional guest service. Responsible for overseeing table service, handling guest concerns, and assisting in team training, the Captain ensures high standards of hospitality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of waiters/waitresses and service staff in the restaurant.
• Welcome guests, take orders when needed, and ensure smooth service flow.
• Ensure timely and accurate service of food and beverages as per restaurant standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and handle complaints or feedback professionally.
• Assist in training new staff on service procedures, menu knowledge, and guest interaction.
• Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and organized before and after each service.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the dining area.
• Assist in daily briefings and communicate special events, promotions, or menu changes to the team.
• Maintain records of reservations, guest preferences, and feedback if required.
• Ensure billing and payments are processed accurately and efficiently.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a restaurant captain, senior waiter, or similar role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Well-groomed and presentable at all times.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Diploma or certificate in Hotel Management or Hospitality.
• Experience in a fine-dining or luxury hotel environment.
• Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant management software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
