Job Description

Job Summary: The Restaurant Captain oversees the dining area, coordinates with service staff, and ensures guests receive prompt and courteous service. They are key to creating memorable guest experiences by leading by example, maintaining service standards, and handling guest inquiries or complaints professionally. Key Responsibilities: Greet and seat guests in a professional and friendly manner. Supervise and coordinate the activities of waitstaff and bus staff. Ensure that tables are properly set, cleaned, and maintained during service. Take food and beverage orders accurately and ensure timely service. Assist in training new service staff and ensuring adherence to service protocols. Handle guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of menu items, specials, and restaurant promotions. Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety standards. Coordinate with the kitchen for special requests and order accuracy. Monitor inventory levels and inform management of shortages. Prepare shift reports and provide feedback to management.
