Job Summary:

and the borrowers’ details pertaining to Income, credit and assets.

Candidate shall be responsible for conducting daily and weekly audits to ensure the decisions rendered on credit applications are in par with the Mortgage Underwriting guidelines as prescribed by Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac. Shall ensure that the loan applications have been thoroughly reviewed in all aspects of the Credit, Income and Asset.

Shall ensure that the overall risk has been taken into consideration while providing the underwriting recommendations.

Responsibilities:

• Works under moderate supervision; acquires and applies maturing knowledge of the business, its products, and processes.
• Shall be responsible for performing daily and weekly audits on the transactions completed by the team.
• Shall ensure that a sampling methodology based on the complexity of the loan, Error trends, History of errors is worked out to ensure maximum coverage to minimise risk of error
• Shall ensure that the loan has been reviewed in accordance with the SOP/Process manuals and any updates to the process have been followed and incorporated as part of the processing.

• Knowledge pertaining to the regulations governing mortgage lending.
• Should be well versed with the Quality and feedback mechanism including sampling technology, Root cause analysis, Identifying training needs
• Logical and reasoning skills
• Good Interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask
• Must pay close attention to detail

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline preferably B. Com/BBA/MBA.
• 4 to 6 years of overall banking experience with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in residential Mortgage Underwriting for Conventional/FHA/VA loans of which 1 year should have been in a QA role.

• Willingness to work in night shifts is a must.
