The Department of Education (DE) plays a pivotal role in shaping policy and strategy for the education sector in Northern Ireland. Additionally, the Department leads the development of the Children and Young People’s Strategy and the Early Learning and Childcare Strategy, emphasizing the importance of education and well-being for the younger generation. Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Researcher. The Researcher will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis and studies to inform the Department’s education strategies. Tasks will include collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports, and contributing to the development of educational policies and programs. The role requires collaboration with internal teams, stakeholders, and other entities to seek evidence-based solutions and ensure informed decision-making.

Qualifications

Strong analytical and research skills, including data collection, organization, and analysis.
Excellent ability in report writing, documentation, and presentation of findings.
Experience in policy evaluation, strategic planning, or development of strategies.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in relevant software for data analysis and presentation.
A strong background in education, public policy, or related fields is preferred.
A postgraduate qualification in education, research, policy studies, or a related discipline is desirable.
