Automation Development & Implementation Design, develop, and implement automation systems for manufacturing, including welding, molding, and assembly lines. Identify repetitive processes and integrate PLC, HMI, robotics, or pneumatic solutions for efficiency and consistency. 2. Electrical & Controls Engineering Create and troubleshoot electrical control systems including panels, sensors, motor drives, and PLCs. Ensure electrical safety compliance, proper grounding, and panel layouts aligned with industrial norms. 3. Welding & Pre-Shop Operations Expertise Deep understanding of electrical welding processes (MIG/TIG/Spot), jigs, fixtures, and safety protocols. Improve and optimize pre-shop welding layouts, processes, and tool paths for better throughput. 4. Reverse Engineering & Redesign Reverse engineer existing products to improve performance, reduce cost, or develop local substitutes. Use 3D scanning or manual measurement to recreate CAD models and design iterations. 5. Tooling, Molding, and Die Design Design and evaluate tools, molds, and dies for casting, plastic molding, and metal forming. Collaborate with vendors for manufacturing and testing of tools/dies and ensure dimensional accuracy. 6. Heavy Metal Fabrication & Processing Lead R&D efforts in handling and processing heavy metals like steel, brass, and aluminum. Optimize cutting, bending, forming, and finishing operations for strength, precision, and surface finish. 7. Powder Coating Technology Ensure coating thickness, curing time, surface prep, and adhesion meet export-grade standards. Implement process improvements to increase throughput and reduce rework. 8. Design Knowledge & CAD Proficiency Proficient in 2D/3D design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor. Prepare accurate technical drawings, assembly layouts, and design modifications for production. 9. Prototype Development & Testing Develop working prototypes, conduct field trials, and refine based on performance and feedback. Document results, troubleshoot failures, and lead cross-functional technical reviews. 10. Cross-functional Coordination & Project Execution Coordinate with production, quality, maintenance, and purchase teams to drive implementation. Track project milestones, manage resources, and ensure delivery within scope and budget. 11. Cost Reduction & Process Optimization Drive value engineering initiatives for material cost savings and improved manufacturing efficiency. Reduce cycle times, manpower requirements, and material wastage through technical innovation. 12. Continuous Improvement & Documentation Maintain detailed records of R&D projects, trials, and design iterations. Promote a culture of continuous improvement with data-driven decision-making.
