Job Description

The Role This is a critical hybrid role, responsible for both Product Innovation (R&D) and Manufacturing Efficiency (Production). You will ensure new air cooler designs are cost-effective, high-quality, and scalable for mass production. Key Responsibilities R&D & Engineering: Lead the design and testing (CAD/Prototyping) of new air cooler models, focusing on aerodynamics, cooling efficiency (CFM), and energy savings. Conduct Value Engineering to optimize the Bill of Materials (BOM) and reduce manufacturing costs without compromising performance. Ensure all designs comply with IS (Indian Standards) and BEE Star Rating norms. Production & Quality: Manage daily production scheduling, assembly line operations, and workflow efficiency. Oversee the maintenance and lifecycle of Plastic Injection Molds and tooling. Implement and enforce strict Quality Control (QC) across all stages (Incoming, In-Process, Final) to minimize defects and returns. Must-Have Requirements Education: B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical, Production, or Electrical Engineering. Experience: 5+ years in R&D and Production within the Air Cooler, Fan, or Home Appliance industry. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Plastic Injection Molding and proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD). Leadership: Proven ability to manage factory floor operations and lead technical teams.
