Job Description

About the Role:

Remote Infrastructure Technician

Key Responsibilities:

Provide remote support and maintenance for servers, network devices, storage systems, and related infrastructure components.
Monitor infrastructure health and performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
Install, configure, and update hardware and software remotely.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as patching, backups, and system updates.
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests related to infrastructure systems.
Coordinate with on-site staff or third-party vendors when physical intervention is required.
Document incidents, resolutions, and infrastructure changes in ticketing and knowledge management systems.
Assist in network configuration and troubleshooting (firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs).
Support cloud infrastructure components as applicable (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Preferred Skills:

Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
Experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Experience supporting unified communications or collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom).
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a remote environment.
