Job Description

Role Purpose

To promote the company’s pharmaceutical products to doctors, hospitals, and chemists, generate prescriptions, and achieve assigned sales targets while ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Promotion & Sales
  • Visit doctors (clinics, hospitals, nursing homes) to promote and detail products.
  • Ensure prescription generation for company brands.
  • Conduct product presentations and discussions with healthcare professionals.
  • Market Development
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with doctors, pharmacists, distributors, and hospital staff.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand coverage in the assigned territory.
  • Ensure product availability at chemists and stockists.
  • Sales Target Achievement
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Track competitor activities and provide timely feedback to management.
  • Reporting & Compliance
  • Submit daily call reports, tour plans, and expense statements as per company policy.
  • Adhere to company’s Code of Conduct and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate record of doctor/chemist profiles in the territory.
  • Market Intelligence
  • Monitor competitor brands, pricing, and promotional activities.
  • Share insights to support marketing and strategy development.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Graduate in Science/Pharmacy/Commerce (B.Sc., B.Pharma preferred).
  • Skills Required:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Negotiation and persuasion ability.
  • Result-oriented, self-motivated, and willing to travel extensively.
  • Compensation
  • Fixed Salary (as per industry standards).
  • Incentives linked to sales performance.
  • Allowances (travel, communication, etc.).

Experience - 8 to 20 years of relevant experience of Pharma company
