Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Regional Sales Manager – Marine Engines, located in Pune. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for managing sales activities, developing and executing sales strategies, identifying potential markets and clients, and maintaining client relationships. The role includes conducting market research, preparing sales budgets, meeting sales targets, and collaborating with the engineering and product development teams to ensure client satisfaction. The Regional Sales Manager will also be accountable for providing post-sales support and ensuring customer satisfaction.


Key Attributes:

  • 5–12 years’ experience in 

    marine engine

    genset

    , or 

    diesel engine sales

  • Strong network in Indian shipbuilding, defense, or marine infrastructure industry
  • Hands-on experience in customer interaction and proposal preparation
  • Good understanding of emissions compliance (IMO Tier II, Tier III) and hybrid technologies
  • Ability to manage complex sales involving overseas OEMs and field applications
  • Language fluency: English + Hindi; Marathi preferred
  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering preferred but not mandatory)


Preferred Background

  • Past association with Cummins, Kirloskar, Caterpillar, Perkins, MTU, Volvo Penta, Wärtsilä, or Bosch
  • Knowledge of inland water transport, RHIBs, patrol boats, and fishery vessels
  • Experience in dealing with Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, or port authorities


Qualifications

  • Strong background in Sales Management and Business Development
  • Knowledge of Diesel Engines, Turbochargers, Generators, and related marine equipment
  • Experience in market research and developing sales strategies
  • Client relationship management and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with engineering and product development teams
  • Experience in the marine industry is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Ability to work on-site in Pune
