Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve regional sales targets of Primary Plasticizer in line with overall business objectives.
  • Develop new customers and segments to expand market penetration in the Western region.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling within the plasticizer product range.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends to provide timely feedback to management.

2. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts, distributors, and OEMs.
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer issues and queries.
  • Conduct periodic customer visits to strengthen business relationships and ensure service excellence.

3. Planning & Execution

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans and forecasts.
  • Ensure effective execution of marketing strategies, promotional activities, and product launches in the region.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery.

4. Commercial & Collection Management

  • Monitor outstanding payments and ensure adherence to company credit policy.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts in alignment with company guidelines.
  • Track sales performance and report on key metrics to senior management.

5. Team & Coordination

  • Lead, motivate, and guide the regional sales team (if applicable).
  • Coordinate closely with the technical, logistics, and finance teams for seamless business operations.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of

    Plasticizer / Petrochemical / Chemical

    industry and applications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical mindset.
  • Proficiency in sales forecasting, planning, and reporting.
  • Customer-centric approach with strong problem-solving ability.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Qualification:

    B.E./B.Tech (Chemical) and/or MBA (Marketing preferred).
  • Experience:

    1015 years of experience in B2B sales of Plasticizers / Petrochemicals / Chemical intermediates, with minimum 5 years in a regional managerial role.
  • Preferred Exposure:

    Western India market with established industry network in PVC, resin, paints, or allied sectors.
