2. Role Objective

3. Key Responsibilities

A. Business & Financial Outcomes

  • Deliver circle-level targets on 

    Wealth AUM, SIP book, new to investment clients, product mix and revenue

     across mapped geographies.
  • Drive 

    product penetration

     across relevant channels – Key Account Managers, RMs, ROs, Branch Banking, NR and other mapped teams.
  • Use data analytics and dashboards to 

    track funnel, input activities and productivity

     of Wealth Specialists and mapped RMs/ROs; realign focus to priority segments, branches and products.
  • Work with Circle Manager / National Channels Manager to finalize 

    quarterly and monthly business plans

    , campaigns and incentives for wealth business.

B. Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead, coach and motivate a 

    team of Wealth Specialists

     who provide end-to-end wealth counselling support to KAMs and other frontline staff.
  • Ensure 

    NISM certification / EUIN

     of all existing team members and new joiners and timely renewal as per regulatory requirements.
  • Impart 

    effective training

     on new and existing products, processes, advisory tools and regulatory guidelines to Wealth Specialists, KAMs, RMs, branch staff and NR teams; maintain attendance records for audit/regulatory purposes.
  • Conduct 

    regular reviews, joint meetings and huddles

     to monitor pipeline, call-plans, portfolio reviews and campaign execution.
  • Create a 

    high-performance culture

     focused on customer-centric advisory, quality of sourcing, cross-sell and retention.

C. Advisory, Customer & Channel Management

  • Ensure Wealth Specialists and KAMs deliver 

    suitable, goal-based investment solutions

     aligned to client risk profile and investment objectives across all mapped segments.
  • Ensure 

    implementation of the wealth sales process

     and suitability assessment for all products purchased by clients in mapped geographies.
  • Drive 

    effective portfolio reviews and insights

     to KAMs, RMs and customers through use of analytics, research and product house inputs.
  • Collaborate closely with 

    branch banking, NR, central wealth team and L&D

     to standardize execution of circle-level initiatives.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for 

    client events, digital campaigns, portfolio review drives

     and themed investment ideas to deepen client relationships.

D. Product, Digital & Stakeholder Management

  • Ensure timely dissemination of 

    product notes, fund fact sheets, process changes, research views and campaign communication

     to Wealth Specialists, KAMs and branches.
  • Work with central wealth/product team to 

    relay feedback from field (KAMs, branches, clients)

     for continuous improvement of products and processes.
  • Drive 

    digital adoption

     by maximizing share of digital channels, platforms and tools in client engagement and execution; ensure availability and usage of digital/physical sales kits.
  • Collaborate with 

    designated fund houses and product partners

     for on-ground activities, joint client meetings and capability building.

E. Risk, Compliance & Service

  • Always ensure 

    customer-centricity, fair sales practices and adherence to regulatory and internal guidelines

     for self, Wealth Specialists and mapped frontline staff.
  • Ensure 

    complete and accurate documentation

    , EUIN capture and advisory records as per policy.
  • Track and ensure that 

    client complaints and service issues

     related to wealth products are resolved within agreed TAT through coordination with central investment product and operations teams.
  • Support internal and external 

    audits, inspections and compliance reviews

     by providing timely information and implementing corrective actions.

F. People, Culture & Productivity

  • Create a 

    conducive, performance-oriented environment

     that promotes collaboration between Wealth Specialists, KAMs, Branch Banking and NR teams.
  • Monitor 

    RM/RO and Wealth Specialist productivity

     and intervene with coaching, joint calls and re-allocation of effort to high-potential branches or customer segments.
  • Conduct 

    regular trainings / skilling sessions

     for all branch staff on basic investment concepts, product positioning and process adherence.

5. Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:

     MBA / CFA desirable (or equivalent post-graduate qualification in Finance/Management).
  • Experience:

    • 15+ years

       of relevant experience in 

      wealth business development and/or supporting wealth distribution

       in banking / financial services.
    • Demonstrated experience in 

      leading teams

       (Wealth Specialists / Investment Counsellors / RMs) and managing circle / regional portfolios.
