Regional Manager - mooPay

mooPay is building India s first dairy-centric credit rails and rural neobank, enabling millions of dairy farmers with access to affordable, reliable, and transparent credit. Through partnerships with dairies, lenders, and insurers, mooPay is transforming how rural households access finance, from cattle purchase loans to climate insurance.

Role Overview

The Regional Manager will be responsible for driving mooPay s field operations across the assigned geography. This role will focus on loan originations, collections, and portfolio quality, while managing a network of Area Managers (each leading Field Officers). The Regional Manager will play a critical role in scaling credit disbursements, ensuring disciplined collections, and maintaining strong relationships with partner dairies and farmer communities.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Loan Originations

• Drive loan sourcing through field teams across assigned districts.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly disbursement targets in coordination with dairy partners.
• Monitor quality of sourcing, ensuring adherence to credit underwriting norms.

• Ensure high collection efficiency and low PAR across the region.
• Lead pre-due, due, and overdue collection strategies, supported by dedicated field officers.
• Implement corrective measures in low-performing areas to safeguard portfolio health.

Team Leadership & Field Management

• Recruit, train, and lead a team of Area Managers and Field Officers.
• Drive performance monitoring, productivity, and motivation of field teams.
• Conduct regular field visits, joint farmer meetings, and dairy society interactions.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with dairy management, collection centers, and village societies.
• Act as the escalation point for operational issues with dairies and farmers.

• Track disbursement and collection KPIs at district and area levels.
• Share weekly/monthly dashboards with leadership, highlighting progress and challenges.
• Ensure compliance with mooPay policies, partner requirements, and regulatory norms.

Qualifications

• 6 10 years of experience in

  microfinance, NBFC, agri-finance, or rural lending operations

  .
• Proven track record in

  loan originations, collections, and team leadership

  .
• Strong people-management skills with experience in handling 20 30+ member field teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and regional language(s).
• Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
