Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy Implementation:

    • Implement strategic sales and marketing plans developed by the management to drive sales growth and achieve regional targets.

    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and challenges within the region.

    • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the region to expand market share and increase product penetration.

  2. Team Leadership and Development:

    • Supervise, mentor, and coach a team of DBM and TBMs to ensure they meet their individual sales goals and objectives.

    • Conduct regular performance evaluations, set their KRAs alongside ZBM, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development initiatives for team members.

    • Oversee regional talent acquisition and ensure employee retention strategies are effectively implemented.

    • Address team grievances and ensure issues are resolved to maintain overall employee satisfaction.

  3. Customer Relationship Management:

    • Should have strong relationships and familiarity with key doctors, opinion leaders, distributors, and other stakeholders in the industry within the region.

  4. Stockist Management:

    • Regularly coordinate with regional stockists to ensure optimal stock availability and prevent any shortages.

  5. Financial Management and Reporting:

    • Manage regional budgets and resources efficiently to optimise ROI and achieve financial targets.

    • Prepare and submit timely reports on regional sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities to the Zonal Business Manager.

  6. Compliance and Quality Standards:

    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards in all business activities and interactions.

    • Uphold high standards of product quality, safety, and customer service within the region.

Candidate Eligibility Criteria:

  • Education:

    Bachelors degree in B. Pharma, B.com, BSC, or a related field. A Masters degree (MBA) is a plus.

  • Age criteria: 40 yrs

  • Experience:

    At least 10-12 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical sales, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role.

  • Should have geography exposure of their region.

  • Skills:

    • Strong leadership abilities with a record of managing and motivating teams.

    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and negotiation skills.

    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.

    • Thorough understanding of pharmaceutical industry regulations and compliance requirements.
