What would you do? The Material Master Data Lead is responsible for managing a team, for master data creation, maintenance, and governance of material master data across ERP systems. This role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of product and pricing data to support product changes, configuration management, and commercial setup. The Lead serves as the key liaison between business functions, ensuring that all master data supports efficient operations, accurate pricing, and successful product lifecycle transitions.Posting journal entries, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing entries and reconciliations, preparing cash forecasting statement, supporting month end closing, preparing reports and supports in audits.
Follow data governance standards, naming conventions, and approval workflows.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in data quality and process efficiency.Maintain documentation for material creation/change processes.Act as the point of contact for internal audits, external audits, and data quality reviews.Build strong relationships with global business units to align vendor master processes with business requirementsMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as data accuracy, turnaround time, duplicate rate, and compliance adherence.Prepare and present periodic performance reports to management.Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring data issues.Work closely with Product Management, Procurement, Planning, Quality, and IT teams to ensure data alignment.Support system testing and validation during ERP
