Job Description: Cashier
Job Title: Cashier
Department: Pharmacy Billing
Location: Orchid Hospital, Changaramkulam
Reporting To: HR Department
Job Summary:The Cashier is responsible for handling all cash, card, and online transactions efficiently and accurately. The role ensures smooth billing operations, customer satisfaction, and adherence to hospital financial protocols.
Key Responsibilities:· Receive payments by cash, credit cards, or digital payment modes.
· Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers.
· Generate accurate bills using the billing software.
· Maintain proper records of all transactions.
· Reconcile cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of shift.
· Coordinate with pharmacists and customers to ensure correct billing.
· Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the billing area.
· Deposit daily collections to the accounts department.
· Ensure compliance with hospital finance and audit policies.
· Handle customer inquiries and resolve basic billing issues.
· Assist in inventory checks, if needed.

Educational Qualification:Minimum Higher Secondary/ Graduation
Diploma in Accounting or basic computer knowledge (preferred)
Experience:1–3 years of experience as a cashier, preferably in a healthcare or pharmacy setting
Freshers with good communication and computer skills may also apply
Working Hours:As per hospital schedule (rotational shifts if applicable)
