*Write high-quality white papers, technical blogs, and research notes.

*Help position the company as a domain authority in geospatial AI & disaster intelligence.

*Support grant proposals, pilots, and strategic partnerships.

Patents & Defensibility:

*Spot patent-worthy ideas early.

*Work with IP attorneys to draft and file patents.

*Build a long-term IP moat, not just one-off filings.

Competitive Intelligence:

*Track what startups, labs, governments, and big tech are building.

*Monitor innovation challenges, hackathons, research grants, and global competitions.

*Regularly brief leadership: What’s new? What’s hype? What’s a real threat or opportunity?

Cross-Team Leadership:

*Work closely with product, engineering, and data science teams.

*Guide how research turns into real-world deployments.

*Mentor younger engineers/researchers in thinking, writing, and documenting like scientists-builders.

Who We’re Looking For

You probably:

*Have 5+ years in geospatial, disaster management, AI/ML, or climate-tech R&D.

*Have worked with satellite imagery, drone data, GIS layers, and spatio-temporal data.

*Understand disasters deeply floods, cyclones, landslides, earthquakes, climate risk.

*Can write clearly white papers, research docs, patent drafts.

*Are curious, opinionated, and comfortable saying: “This is what we should build next.”

Tech & Domain Stack (You Don’t Need All, But Should Know Many)

* GIS & Remote Sensing (satellite + UAV)

* GeoAI / ML (CV, time-series, predictive models)

* Disaster management systems & early warning

* Esri or open-source GIS (GDAL, PostGIS, GeoServer, etc.)

* Cloud-native thinking (scalable, production-ready research)
