Job Summary:

The Raw Material Executive is responsible for overseeing the sourcing, quality verification, inventory control, and timely delivery of raw materials essential for food production. This role ensures that all raw materials meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards while optimizing cost and minimizing waste.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement & Supplier Management

• Sourcing and selecting vendors for food-grade raw materials.
• Negotiating contracts, pricing, and delivery timelines.
• Monitor vendor performance, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.

2. Quality Control & Compliance

• Coordinate with Quality Assurance to inspect incoming raw materials.
• Ensure raw materials meet food safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, etc.).
• Maintain documentation for traceability and regulatory audits.

3. Inventory Management

• Monitor stock levels, reorder raw materials, and maintain buffer stocks.
• Coordinate with warehouse and production teams for raw material flow.

4 Coordination & Reporting

• Work closely with production, quality, and logistics departments.
• Prepare reports on material usage, waste, supplier issues, and stock levels.
• Assist in ERP system updates and data accuracy for raw material tracking.

Required Qualifications:

• 23 years of experience in raw material procurement/handling in the food industry.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and procurement best practices.

Key Skills:

• High integrity & transparency in dealing.
• Basic knowledge of raw materials used in food processing (e.g., Oil, Sugar, Processed Vegetables/Fruits, etc).
• Must be an expert in MS Excel & MIS reports.
• Good negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
