Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Review and process lease contracts (operating and finance leases) in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Set up and maintain lease data in ERP systems or lease accounting tools (e.g., SAP RE-FX, Oracle Lease Accounting, CoStar, or Nakisa).
Calculate and record monthly lease amortization, interest expense, and right-of-use (ROU) asset depreciation.
Ensure accurate posting of lease-related journal entries and adjustments.
Perform monthly reconciliations of lease accounts, ROU assets, and lease liabilities.
Support the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring timely reporting of all lease-related financials.
Collaborate with Treasury, FP&A, and Business teams to validate payment schedules, lease renewals, and terminations.
Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and reconciliations.
Maintain compliance with IFRS 16 / ASC 842 and internal control standards.
Identify opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency in the lease accounting process.

Preferred candidate profile

Strong understanding of
lease accounting standards (IFRS 16 / ASC 842)
.
Working knowledge of
R2R and general ledger accounting
processes.
Proficiency in
ERP systems
(SAP, Oracle, or similar) and lease accounting tools (e.g., Nakisa, CoStar, LeaseQuery).
Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
