Quality Head

Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the

  entire Quality Control (QC) function

  across the foundry and machining operations.
• Oversee

  incoming, in-process, and final inspections

  of cast and machined components (Cylinder Liners, Water/Air Cooled Blocks, etc.).
• Ensure

  compliance with IATF 16949

  and customer-specific quality standards.
• Monitor product quality at every stage and implement effective

  inspection procedures and control plans

  .
• Conduct

  casting defect analysis

  (e.g., porosity, cracks, shrinkage) and initiate root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
• Manage usage and calibration of

  measuring instruments

  such as Vernier, Micrometers, Bore Gauges, CMM, Talyrond, and Spectrometers.
• Implement and monitor

  quality documentation systems

  , including SOPs, check sheets, rejection reports, and MIS reports.
• Coordinate with production, design, and maintenance teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  
• Lead internal audits, customer audits, and third-party inspections.
  
• Ensure timely closure of

  non-conformance reports (NCRs)

  and customer complaints.
• Drive a culture of

  continuous improvement, 5S, and quality awareness

  across the shop floor.
• Train and supervise a team of QC engineers, inspectors, and technicians.
  

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Minimum 12 years of QC experience in a

  foundry, automotive, or precision manufacturing

  environment.
• Strong knowledge of

  casting quality

  standards and

  machined component tolerances

  .
• Experience working with

  IATF 16949 / ISO 9001

  systems and documentation.
• Familiar with

  metallurgical testing methods

  and operation of lab/testing equipment.
• Hands-on expertise in

  measurement and inspection

  tools.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and resolve technical problems quickly.
  
• Good communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
