Create and modify
2D drawings using AutoCAD
for components like cylinder liners, engine blocks, and casting parts.
Interpret and prepare
technical drawings, dimensional layouts
, and
BOMs
in compliance with drafting standards.
Collaborate with the production and quality teams to ensure designs are aligned with manufacturing capabilities.
Maintain drawing revisions and design records for new and existing products.
Work with senior engineers on
design improvements
and cost optimization.
Use
Hexagon software
(if experienced) for inspection planning, dimensional evaluation, or 3D coordinate measuring tasks.
Support the development of
tooling and fixtures
for casting/machining based on design needs.
Ensure proper documentation, version control, and archival of design data.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in
AutoCAD 2D
design in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Familiarity or working experience with
Hexagon software
(e.g., PC-DMIS, Inspire, or Q-DAS) will be an added advantage.
Good understanding of mechanical components, casting processes, and tolerances.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams (Production, QC, R&D).
