Quality Engineer

Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer with a diploma in Mechanical Engineering and 2–3 years of experience in the automobile or automotive components industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain product quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections, identifying defects and recommending corrective actions.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and customer-reported issues.
• Handle customer complaints, assist in resolution, and ensure effective follow-up.
• Prepare and maintain Quality Control documents, including PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and Inspection Reports.
• Work closely with production, design, and supplier teams to ensure quality standards are met.
• Support implementation of ISO/TS 16949 / IATF 16949 quality systems.
• Assist in internal audits and support third-party or customer audits.
• Conduct training sessions for operators and quality inspectors on quality procedures and inspection methods.
• Use measurement tools like Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, CMM, etc., to inspect parts.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards and tools (5S, 5 Whys, Fishbone diagram, etc.)
• Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control) and MSA (Measurement System Analysis).
• Proficiency in using MS Office and quality-related software.
• Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and team coordination abilities.

Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory):

• Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred)
• Internal Auditor Certification for IATF 16949

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
