Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. In-Process Inspection & Monitoring

  • Conduct stage-wise inspection in

    Assembly Shop, Paint Shop, and Injection Moulding

  • Verify

    torque settings, gap & flush, fit & finish,Critical parameters

    during assembly.
  • Monitor

    critical-to-quality (CTQ)

    and

    critical-to-process (CTP)

    characteristics as per control plan.
  • Ensure use of

    calibrated gauges, fixtures, and measuring equipment

    .
  • Conduct

    Layered Process Audits (LPA)

    at defined frequency.

2. Defect Identification & Containment

  • Identify and segregate defective components immediately.
  • Initiate

    Line Stop / Hold Lot

    in case of critical defects.
  • Maintain

    defect pictorial standards

    for operator reference.

3. Problem Solving & Corrective Action

  • Lead

    root cause analysis

    using

    8D methodology,7QC tools

    for in-process rejections.
  • Implement

    Poka-Yoke (error-proofing)

    to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor

    CAPA

    implementation status and effectiveness.
  • Support

    QSB (QUALITY SYSTEM BASIC)

    meetings for urgent issues.

4. Process Control & Compliance

  • Validate process parameters and adherence to

    Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

    .
  • Support

    first-off / last-off

    inspection at shift & Spec changeover.
  • Conduct

    process capability studies (Cp, Cpk)

    for critical dimensions.
  • Ensure compliance with

    IATF standards

    and

    Hyundai-specific audit requirements

    .

5. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Maintain

    daily defect trend charts

    and

    Pareto analysis

    .
  • Report

    Top 5 defects

    and track improvement progress.
  • Share

    First Time Through (FTT)

    and

    PPM

    data with production.
  • Prepare

    daily quality dashboard

    for management review.

6. Customer Interface & Audit Readiness

  • Support customer visits, audits, and GQRS evaluations.
  • Maintain readiness for

    process audits

    and

    layered audits

    .
  • Provide defect case studies for customer quality feedback sessions.

7. Training & Operator Engagement

  • Conduct daily

    quality toolbox talks

    for operators and inspectors.
  • Train shopfloor teams on

    defect identification criteria

    and

    visual standards

    .
  • Promote

    zero defect mindset

    through regular quality awareness campaigns.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Hands-on experience in

    INPROCESS, SUPPLIER & CUSTOMER

    quality checks.
  • Strong knowledge of

    7 QC Tools, SPC, MSA, FMEA

    .
  • Understanding of

    Hyundai-specific systems

    like

    CQI, GQRS, DRBTR (Design Review Based on Test Results)

    .
  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Strong problem-solving and team coordination skills
