Quality Engineer (QE) – Playwright Automation

We are seeking a Quality Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright automation and a solid foundation in manual testing to join our dynamic QA team. The ideal candidate is passionate about product quality, has a keen eye for detail, and brings a self-driven mindset to deliver excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive manual testing, including test case design, execution, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for UI and end-to-end testing.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries for database validation and backend testing.
• Identify, log, and track defects in JIRA, ensuring clear communication with development teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and QA process improvements.
• Use test management tools integrated with JIRA to maintain traceability and coverage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and resolve quality-related issues.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in manual testing of web applications.
• Strong proficiency with Playwright for test automation.
• Good understanding of SQL for backend and data layer testing.
• Experience in defect lifecycle management and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and JIRA for task and test case management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Kukatpally, Hyderabad, Telangana: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Playwright: 6 years (Preferred)
• Test automation: 6 years (Preferred)
• Software testing: 6 years (Preferred)
