Job Description

Perform
in-process and final inspection
of sheet-metal and welded components as per drawings.
Inspect
weld quality
(size, penetration, bead appearance, defects) as per WPS/WPQR.
Conduct
dimensional checks
using Vernier, micrometer, height gauge, and welding gauges.
Verify
fit-up inspection
before welding (alignment, gap, root opening).
Identify defects such as
porosity, undercut, cracks, spatter, distortion
, and ensure corrective action.
Prepare and maintain
inspection reports, NCRs, CAPA
, and quality documentation.
Ensure
raw material inspection
(thickness, grade, surface finish, traceability).
Approve
first-piece inspection (FPI)
and monitor process control during fabrication.
Coordinate with Production & Welding teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
Ensure compliance with
IATF quality standards
, welding safety, and company procedures.
