Quality Engineer

As a QA/QC Engineer at the construction site in Parbhani, Maharashtra, your role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining QA/QC plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Checklists. You will be responsible for inspecting incoming materials like cement, steel, aggregates, and chemicals, as well as in-process works and finished works to ensure compliance with specifications. Your duties will also include carrying out or supervising required tests such as concrete (slump, cube), soil, aggregate quality, and compaction, coordinating with testing labs, and monitoring workmanship on site to ensure execution per drawings and specifications. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, Checklists. - Inspect incoming materials, in-process works, and finished works for compliance with specifications. - Carry out / supervise required tests and coordinate with testing labs. - Monitor workmanship on site and ensure execution is per drawings & specifications. - Identify non-conforming work or materials, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), track corrective/preventive actions, and ensure closure. - Maintain records and documentation and conduct site audits / walkthroughs to ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures. - Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers to ensure quality requirements are understood and met. - Analyse quality trends, rework, defects, and suggest improvements to processes/practices. - Assist in pre-handover / punch-list inspections and support continuous improvement. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline) or Diploma with substantial QA/QC experience. - Familiarity with Indian standards and codes (e.g. IS codes), drawings, method statements, inspection & test plans. In this role, you will need strong attention to detail, observation skills, the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents, good communication skills (written & verbal), problem-solving capability, proactive in identifying potential quality risks, good documentation & record keeping skills, and the ability to work on-site, sometimes in adverse conditions while handling pressure.
