Quality Control Engineer

Job Summary: The QC Engineer/Executive will be responsible for meeting quality standards of bought out items and parts manufactured in house to meet quality standards of the end product. His/ her role involves inspecting, testing, and monitoring production processes and materials, identifying defects or deviations, and implementing corrective actions to maintain high-quality output. Key Responsibilities: Inspect raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards. Conduct in-process quality checks during manufacturing and assembly stages. Must have hands on experience of using instruments like callipers, micrometres, gauges, and CMM machine. Coordinate with production and design teams to identify and resolve quality issues. Prepare and maintain reports, including NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and inspection logs. Assist in internal and external quality audits. Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 or other relevant quality certifications. Train production staff on basic quality standards and procedures and reduce rework. Work towards FTR ( First time right) concept Key Skills and Competencies: Strong knowledge of quality standards in industrial machinery manufacturing. Proficient in using measuring and inspection instruements. Understanding of mechanical drawings and technical specifications. Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Good documentation and communication skills. Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) to meet 9001 standards.  Must be aware of 5S, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, etc. Education & Experience: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field. 2–5 years of experience in Quality Control within industrial machinery or heavy engineering industry. Experience with ISO 9001:2015 and other quality standards preferred.
